Enjoying a prime location, in London’s West End, dining at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill offers a welcoming atmosphere in either of the hotel’s restaurants. The Montagu, serves Modern European cuisine in a relaxed and open-plan setting, in addition to being a popular afternoon tea destination, whilst the Michelin-starred Locanda Locatelli is one of London’s most popular Italian restaurants. Both venues are perfect for meeting friends, family or colleagues for lunch and dinner.

The Montagu Restaurant, Portman Square London
The Montagu restaurant, which has recently been awarded two AA rosettes, offers tranquil views over the picturesque Portman Square garden, yet provides a vibrant setting to relax and indulge in a wide range of British seasonal dishes, all of which are prepared in a striking open kitchen.

Located on Portman Square, The Montagu is not only a welcoming restaurant for hotel guests but also prides itself on being a neighbourhood restaurant. The Montagu serves up a wide selection of wonderful, fresh dishes, with a mission to provide relaxed eating for all those whose lives bring them into contact with our hotel and London’s West End.

The Montagu restaurant opens at 6:30am, offering a Full English or Continental breakfast and with last orders taken at 10:45pm. Service continues throughout the day, whether for a quick snack, a business lunch, a relaxed afternoon tea or dinner with friends and family.

Well-loved dishes include starters such as Court Bouillon Poached Prawns, Cocktail Sauce and Avocado; Duck Foie Gras with Caramelised Peach Compote and Toasted Brioche; and Fresh Goat’s Cheese and Truffle Mousse with Beet Purée and Hazelnut Dressing. Delicious mains include Slow Roasted Lamb Belliy with Root Vegetables and Rosemary Jus; Corn Fed Baby Chicken with Creamy Ceps and Rib Eye Steak.  Fish-lovers will enjoy such dishes as Sea Trout with Jersulam Artichoke and Beurre Blanc; and Dover Sole with Roast Potatoes and Lemon Butter.

Those with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed by our succulent selection of desserts: Damson Crumble with Ginger Ice Cream; Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream and Blackcurrant Compote and The Montagu’s favourite Sticky Toffee and Date Pudding with Toffee Sauce and Vanilla Ice-cream.

The average price of a full three-course meal, with modest wine, is approximately £50 per person.

Afternoon Tea at The Montagu

Afternoon Tea Set Up at Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill Hotel
Awarded the prestigious Tea Guild’s award of excellence 2010, Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill is the ideal venue for a traditional afternoon tea. A stone's throw away from the hub of Oxford Street and the stunning parkland of Hyde Park, the calm and contemporary colours of The Montagu, overlooking the picturesque gardens of Portman Square, offer a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

The Montagu Afternoon Tea offers elegant tiered stands bearing a selection of traditionally British, thinly sliced finger sandwiches and warm fruit and plain scones with strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream.

For the traditional British sandwiches, the fresh fillings are changed daily and are created to match with the mix of white, brown and flavoured (such as tomato, carrot or rye) bread. The warm scones are served with generous portions of strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream. The Patissier’s selection includes pretty French pastries and fruit tartlets and mini desserts, which also change daily, offering guests a delicate and sweet surprise every time they enjoy Afternoon Tea.

The Montagu Afternoon Tea is served with a fine selection of the exquisite teas including Sapphire Earl Grey, Darjeeling 2nd Flush, Organic Bohea Lapsang, Organic Silver Needle and Hand rolled Jasmine Pearls.

Afternoon Tea is served every day between 3:00pm and 6:00pm.

Chef's Table

Chefs at Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill Hotel
For an ‘unforgettable culinary treat’, the Chef’s Table overseeing the open plan kitchen at The Montagu restaurant offers a front-row seat to see the exhilarating, fast-paced life of a chef at a 5-star hotel. Our Chef’s Table offers personal, one-to-one interaction whilst watching the masterful chefs' artfully crafted dishes come to life. Diners at the chef's table are treated to an experience like none other, tasting dishes presented by the chefs themselves. For each reservation the chef will create a stunning five course dinner highlighting the menu from The Montagu. Using seasonal ingredients and taking the ‘best of the best’ from the day’s deliveries, the chefs will create a unique meal for every reservation.

Each guest will be offered a glass of champagne on arrival which will be served at The Montagu bar. Guests will then be led the Chef’s Table to succumb to the delights of the following courses:

  • Assiette of Starters (A tasting dish of fresh and enticing starters)
  • Fish Course (Fresh catch of the day)
  • Sorbet (A simple sorbet to refresh the palate)
  • Main Course (The finest cuts of seasonal meat, game or poultry)
  • Assiette of Desserts (A trio of desserts highlighting the best of Britain’s favourite homemade puddings)
  • Coffee and Petit Four
The Chef’s Table seats five to nine people and is available at £75.00 per person. Any additional alcoholic beverages will be charged in addition. All prices are per person and include VAT at the standard rate. An optional 12.5% service charge will be added to the bill.

The Chef’s Table is available Monday to Sunday 12:30pm – 3:00pm and 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Locanda Locatelli

Locanda Locatelli, London Michelin Star Restauranti
Locanda Locatelli is a family-run restaurant, with Giorgio running the kitchen and his wife, Plaxy, overseeing the front of house. Designs for the restaurant's interior, which seats 90 people, were created by David Collins. The essence of Giorgio's cooking highlights the natural flavours of quality produce, much of which is imported directly from Italy. The menu of this praised Italian restaurant in London’s West End includes dishes such as Char-Grilled Cuttlefish, Black Ink Sauce; Home Made Chestnut Tagliatelle with Wild Mushrooms; Fillet of Wild Sea Bass in a Herb and Salt Crust; Chocolate and Gianduiotto Liqueur Fondant, Coffee Ice Cream.
There is a particular emphasis on fresh pasta and a variety of regional Italian breads, all of which are made daily on the premises.
The wine list, which is exclusively Italian, has been put together by Sommelier Virgilio Gennaro and offers some exceptional examples from the Piemonte and Tuscany but also includes many vintages from less well-known producers.

Chef Giorgio’s culinary talents have earned him an enviable international reputation, as well as a host of accolades. Locanda Locatelli currently holds a Michelin star.
